It all started at a pharmacy
Giorgos Korres, just eight years old, starts playing with ingredients behind his mother’s pharmacy counter.

A pharmacology student
While studying, Giorgos starts working at Greece’s oldest homeopathic pharmacy, while studying at the Pharmacy School of the University of Athens. He took over the pharmacy in 1992 and within the next five years set up a homeopathic remedy production lab. During this time, Giorgos developed a deep understanding of natural ingredients and their application in over 3,000 herbal remedies.

Giorgos creates KORRES Natural Products with a goal of producing safe & clinically effective natural skincare. The brand's first product, KORRES Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream, remains a global best-seller today.

The journey begins
While on holiday in Crete, an American buyer spots KORRES products in a local pharmacy. KORRES officially goes international.

KORRES incorporates Greek edible yogurt into a skincare formula for the first time. Based on the folk knowledge about the nourishment of sunburnt and dehydrated skin with edible yoghurt, our nourishing Greek Yoghurt Calming + Cooling Gel quickly becomes an instant international hit. Our yia yia's (grandmothers) are honored.Greek grandmothers (yia yias) have nourished sunburnt skin with Greek yoghurt for centuries. This inspired us to create the first after-sun skincare product made with edible Greek yoghurt. The Greek Yoghurt Calming + Cooling Gel made to soothe and moisturize dehydrated skin, quickly became an instant international hit.
